Mini Vacation

Everyone deserves a mini vacation, especially after a long, tough week. Last week was like that for us, so we decided to take a trip to the Lake of the Ozarks. We got to spend some time in a hot tub, go golfing (and by that I mean drive a golf cart while everyone else played – I’m no athlete), and NAP. Sammie even got to play with some other pooches!

Above is our view of the Lake. Isn’t it gorgeous?! And of course, I have to include a picture of our traveling partner:

She’s eagerly awaiting Aaron’s return from the convenience store. So alert and ready!

While we were there, Sammie got a new toy. It appears to be a Buster Food Cube. It’s hollow on the inside so you can fill it with food, but it has just a single opening so it’s not too easy for the food to escape. We haven’t tried it with Sammie yet, but I hope it’s something she’ll enjoy playing with! She needs some extra mental stimulation.

Sammie snag any winter wading/swimming time at the lake?

Unfortunately, she did not! She stuck pretty close to us, and we never went down by the docks. I actually have yet to see how she does swimming… Can’t wait for summer!

I hear those food cubes are great for keeping dogs busy while Mom is away!
