Good Girl

Sammie’s been making it really difficult for me to get out of bed in the morning. She gets so excited I’m awake that she comes in close to cuddle:

How can I resist? So I lay with her for as long as I feel I can, which never feels long enough…

This sounds exactly what my mornings look like! When Roy gets up for work, Nikita always jumps back in the bed to snuggle, then Bella wants “in” and she jumps up too by Mommy! Every morning it is a big snuggle fest!

And so you just want to lay there with them for as long as they’ll stay!! But I can’t ’cause I have to get ready for work. It’s not fair 😦

I have the luxury of staying home with the dogs all day, but I have to get up to get things done. I just crawl out of bed and tuck them in with the covers, and they continue napping without me. Like this morning, the dogs did not want to get out of bed. I had to wake them up around 11am for a late breakfast. We’re below zero here and I think they knew it.

There’s something very special about cuddling up to a warm dog …. especially a Shepherd size dog! 🙂

You’re so right! She’s the perfect size for snuggling…

I haven’t done the exact math, but it is exponentially harder to drag yourself vertical while laying down with a warm pup
