Fourth of July

Everyone has been posting lately about keeping your pets safe over the holiday season, which I have found super helpful, especially because this will be our first Independence Day with Sammie! Well, MY first Independence Day with Sammie – Aaron is going to be celebrating with his friends at the lake.

That being said, I have no idea how she’ll react and will need to be prepared for anything. That’s why I’ve so appreciated all your helpful tips, tricks, and precautions! We’ll be spending the weekend at my parents’ house with Sammie’s buddy Boomer, who DOES get nervous about the fireworks. I’m hopeful that Sammie will think it’s just another thunder storm (albeit a weird-sounding one) and be just fine.

Wish us luck, and I hope you all have a safe and fun holiday!

Happy Independence Day to you and Sammy, too. Please tell her Lexi said it’s just noise, nothing to get worked up about. *wiggles*

Keep in mind she may learn from Boomer to be scared. I don’t know if it would be good to keep them together. Hopefully someone else will have insight on this.

I was thinking about keeping Sammie in my room or in her kennel, so she knew she was in a safe place!
