The other night, I was laying in bed, and Tubby came sniffing around my bedside table. His front legs were up on the table, but his back legs were still on the floor. I didn’t think anything of it – he and Frou often perch up on my bedside table to look out the window, so I figured he was looking for room to jump up.
Frou was casually walking up behind him and, on her way, stepped on a plastic bag. The crinkling sound it made caused Tubby to shoot straight up in the air, kinda like this:
I laughed so hard! He didn’t look THAT intent in sniffing at whatever he had been smelling – you can usually tell by their posture when they’re focused in and tense enough to jump. Not this time!
