Up, Up, and Away!

Sammie has discovered that she can jump over the fence in our backyard – I had hoped it would take her longer (if ever) to figure that out. Mostly, she jumps over into the yard of the neighbor behind us, who we haven’t met, trying to catch squirrels. However, what’s most impressive is the fact that she doesn’t have to be running to clear the top! Once she’s over, we call her back and she stands there, judges the distance, and jumps from where she was standing over into our yard again.

Ugh! Aaron and our neighbor next to us both saw her do it last week, but I saw her do it for the first time today at lunch. We either need to start a squirrel relocation program, teach her to stay in our yard, or build a taller fence! I bet you can guess which one is most likely…

Oh Sammie, we are so impressed! Having short little legs ourselves, it’s a mission jumping onto the couch, never mind clear over a fence!

Sammy, NEVER let the peeps see how you get out. Now you’ve blown it.
