Backyard Puppy Play Date

Sammie and Emma LOVE Pepper, the dog next door. They play through the fence running back and forth, giving each other kisses, and showing off their toys. We’ve tried putting Emma in our neighbor’s yard for her to play with Pepper, but she would have none of it. I think being apart from us, even if it was only through a fence, scared her.

The weather was nice, so we convinced our neighbor to bring Pepper to our yard. And all three played together like they’ve been doing so forever!  I was so happy to see everyone get along and to watch Emma play fearlessly with a large dog other than Sammie.

Hopefully there will be more of these in the future! Especially now that summer is right around the corner.

Very glad to see everyone getting along. No more problems with Sammy and the other neighbor dog, I hope.

She’s jumped the fence to chase the dog behind us, but no issues there. And we’ve been sure to put her up anytime we see the other neighbor dog! For whatever reason, Pepper has always been fine in her eyes.

We’re pleased as well. And we are going to put in a 6′ privacy fence this weekend, so there shouldn’t be any jumping the fence, either!

They absolutely are, Cupcake! Especially when they live so close 🙂

How nice that they get along and have fun. Buddy still does not tolerate other cats.

Looks like they had a great play date. Glad it worked out. Since it did and they played so well together, maybe the neighbor won’t hesitate to bring Pepper over again.
