As of today, Sammie has been part of our family for two whole years! Sometimes it seems hard to believe; other times, it seems like she has always been a part of our family. I still remember how excited she was to go out the front doors of the shelter and how she hopped into Aaron’s truck like she’d done it a million times before. She had the biggest grin on her face, like she knew she was going to her forever home.
To many more years together, Sammie!
Happy Anniversary Sammie! What a beautiful day to remember…finding your forever home! Hugs & kisses from Nikita & Bella (2 more doggies who found their forever home with us!)

I could not ever want a life without a dog in it. They make life so much better! They are my best friends! We have conversations all day long, do goofy things that I would not admit to anyone, and just enjoy life together to the fullest! Dogs make everything BETTER!

Happy Adoptiversary to the whole family! You got two years ago a lovely girl and she got a lovely family.
We have on Friday adoptiversary, our cat Kosmo adopted us also two years ago, he came to our yard and didn’t go away, while we were trying to find his home, so he just moved in, and we all are very happy.

It sounds like we all found each other right when we were supposed to! And Kosmo just proves that it’s not the human that adopts the animal, but the animal that adopts the human 🙂

Yes, you wrote that Sammie jumped to the trunk as she had done many times before, she understood everything.

Thanks, Lexi! She absolutely did. I love looking back and realizing that (although I think we could tell at the time, too).

Sorry Mom spelled Sammie’s name wrong!

Oh that’s okay! It’s the name, not the spelling, that counts 🙂

Aw…how sweet. Happy ‘adoptiversary’ Sammie (love that moniker-might have to pinch that one in the future if you don’t mind). 🙂 How the day will filled with loads of walkies, treats and smiles. Here’s to many more. ღ

Thanks, guys! It was a pretty good day 🙂 And I wish I could take credit for that term, but I stole it from others who don’t know their dogs’ birthdays!

Well it’s a great term whom ever coined it.
