Did we bring home the right dog?!

Emma looks so different now that she’s trimmed! I barely recognize our little baby. I’m sure you all will hardly recognize her, either:

Isn’t that crazy? No curls anywhere! They really cleaned her up well. I can’t wait to see how her hair grows back now.

And here are both the girls right after coming home. They wouldn’t sit close to each other, and they wouldn’t both look at the camera at the same time (of course!). But you can see how happy they are. They must have had a really great time, because they laid on the floor and slept all evening!

And her hair is so light up there! It looked darker when it was longer…

Isn’t it amazing how different they look when their curls are gone? My Cockapoo is the same way.

It’s incredible! I never realized before how much her curls shaped her appearance.

Emma looks really good! But I would miss the curls. Thank goodness they will grow back! I trim Nikita up when she gets really furry, but I have never taken her anywhere to get fully groomed, for the same reason…..I think it would change her entire look. I have grown so use to seeing our baby all “furry and fluffy”, I would miss it if she was groomed. But, with all her fur, comes the responsibility of brushing her every day! (it’s worth it!)

I loved her curls, but I could brush them one minute and they’d be crunchy and look gross five minutes later. We decided this would be best. I can’t wait until she’s fluffy again, though!

Emma does look a lot different, but, like you said, it will grow back. At least, that is what we all say when we get a haircut that is a bit too short. You can tell she was happy though, as her tail is moving so fast in the first two pictures that you really can’t see it. LOL I love the two bottom pictures too. Taking a picture of both of them has to be a challenge. Maybe sing to them and they’ll both look at the camera at the same time. It’s the only thing that works with Tippy. LOL

I’ll have to try the singing trick!! It’s definitely a challenge getting them to look at the camera at the same time…

And I think she’s still super cute and happy! It’s just different for everyone.
