Weekend Getaway?

Last weekend, Aaron went hunting and left me alone with our critter kids. He told me that he got us the buddy stand for this weekend, but I have no idea if we’re actually going to go or not. I asked him this morning, and he said he still didn’t know. I have a feeling we’re going to have a quiet weekend at home.

GOOD!

We haven’t taken Sammie to the DP in a long, long time. I feel bad because she needs to release her pent up energy! Lately, that’s been by zooming around the house anytime we try and throw a toy for her to fetch. It always brings a smile, but our place isn’t so big that she can truly wear herself out like socializing at the DP (although she’s always panting pretty hard). At the same time, it’s been so cold! She might not mind 13F weather (which feels so much colder with the constant wind), but I sure do, even in my warmest coat…

I’ll tell Aaron we need to brave it tomorrow. I think he’d agree! And maybe, just maybe, we’ll find some of her friends out there, too. The DP is boring (to Sammie) when there’s no one there to share it with her.

On another note: Sammie slept in bed with us again last night, cone on her head and all!! No accidents that we’re aware of, and it was so nice having her join us again. We’re hoping it was just excitement, but I’m watching her closely in case it is more serious.
